Hamilton Wedding Venues: Modern, Intimate Brewery Wedding

Nicole and Jordan’s modern micro wedding held at Grain and Grit brewery in Hamilton, Ontario has all of the style of a larger wedding but on a more personal scale. The pandemic gave these two love birds a run for their money when planning their wedding that should have been a 150-guest soiree at a local golf course.

When forced to drastically cut their guest- list down to the 30 person mark, they decided to go a different route and hold their event at a more intimate location that truly refelcted their personalities. These two incorporated various personal touches such as a beer-paired dinner and an intimate seating arrangement for casual chats with their nearest and dearest late into the evening.

The modern, boho floral design complimented the venue perfectly and pops of black décor played off the brewery’s monochromatic colour scheme.

Guests arrived in the late afternoon and were greeted with a signature beverage to enjoy while they mingled and waited for the big moment. The couple incorporated an intimate toast into their ceremony that was enjoyed by all and truly made the moment feel special.

Following the ceremony, guests chatted and enjoyed the sunset before wandering over to their tented dining area. Two large harvest tables sat all 30 guests creating the perfect setting for an intimate dinner full of laughter and conversation.

Each course offered a signature beer pairing from the brewery which elevated the dining experience and paid homage to the couple’s love of craft beer. Candle light, gorgeous florals and the groom’s epic spotify playlist created the perfect setting to celebrate this couple’s love.

Although a pandemic, venue change and multiple date changes created some logistical and emotional challenges for this couple, I firmly believe this day ended perfectly and truly suited their wonderful personalities— stylish, modern and FUN!
