A fall wedding at Whistle Bear Golf club that took place on the most perfect September day in 2021. The Sun was shining and there was not a cloud in the sky.

This Whistle Bear wedding was extremely special to me because I had the pleasure of working with Megan and Andrew for almost 2 full years. To put it into perspective, we started working together before there was any sign of this pandemic we’ve now been in for what feels like half our lives. We chatted almost daily and planned their entire day together from scratch— These two truly felt like close friends by the time their wedding day came around!

Megan and Andrew’s fall wedding esthetic was modern, fresh, classic, and laid back. We opted for an elegant, airy colour pallet of white and green florals designed by the talented Hilary at Wildwood Floristry. This crisp colour pallet fit in perfectly with the modern, yet rustic reception space and worked well in the breezy, outdoor ceremony chapel. We decided to anchor the overall look with some pops of navy blue and wine— Perfect for a fall wedding! Without going too overboard with colour, we thoughtfully placed those accents in the wedding party’s attire and with subtle touches throughout the details of the reception.

Like most 2021 weddings, the effects of the pandemic added some stress throughout the planning journey but we lucked out with some reduced restrictions and were able to have the majority of the couple’s guest list join us. The sun was shining and there was not a cloud in the sky on this perfect September day! The entire day felt smooth and laid back and came together with ease.

Megan and Andrew both work in busy careers and felt they needed an extra set of hands when it came to planning their dream wedding day. Megan came to me way back in October of 2019 with their date and some venue ideas and that was it. From there, we worked together to book their dream venue and hire all of their perfect wedding vendors.

This couple knew right away that they wanted someone to help them fully plan their wedding day and we hit it off after the first emails went back and forth. It was sincerely a pleasure helping these two lovebirds pull off the perfect fall wedding at Whistle Bear Golf Club and I was so sad when it was all over.
