The Best GTA Wedding Venues & Advice for Planning During a Wedding Boom

Is the “Wedding Boom” real?
As an engaged person hoping to get married at a GTA wedding venue in 2022, you may be asking yourself this question. The short answer is yes. This definitely doesn’t mean you need to panic though. As long as you keep an open mind and are open to alternative options, it may be doable!
Newly engaged? If you’re hoping for a 2022 wedding, you may need to get creative with your date and location (is a backyard wedding an option?). Make a list of your preferred venues and reach out to see if they have any dates left— You may need to consider the off season or an off-peak day of the week. If you find something that works, start reaching out to your preferred vendors to check on their availability. Again, if you’ve chosen an off-peak date, you might have some luck. If your dream vendors do happen to be booked, they may be able to steer you in the direction of some wedding pros who are available.

Don’t want to risk it? At this point, most newly engaged couples are opting to book their wedding day for 2023. If this is you, I wouldn’t wait too long to get planning. Due to postponements from the last 2 wedding seasons along with overflow from 2022, 2023 is looking to be just as busy.
We’ve been reading about this wedding boom all over social media and I, too, am feeling the buzz that is about to hit the wedding industry this year. I am feeling so lucky that I get to work at some of the best GTA wedding venues with some of the sweetest clients— Some whom have waited for WAY too long to say “I Do!”.

Whistle Bear Golf Club
If you are looking for one of the best wedding venues in Cambridge, look no further.
Whistle Bear Golf club beautifully combines the coziness of a rustic ski chalet with the modern vibes of an upscale restaurant and offers breathtaking views any time of year. This Pearle Wedding Venue offers delicious seasonal menus, top notch service and incredible sunset views. The outdoor chapel allows for coverage from the rain or extreme heat while also allowing fresh air in for your guests to enjoy a breezy, outdoor wedding ceremony. Harding Waterfront Estate
You can’t go wrong with a Harding Estate wedding!
I am beyond excited to work at this new-to-me wedding venue in Mississauga, Ontario. This beautifully restored mansion overlooks Lake Ontario and offers a look into the rich history of the Harding family with its vintage, yet modern, atmosphere. Whether you are hosting an intimate event in the Bell-Gairdner House or a larger party in the outdoor tent, your guests are sure to be impressed!

Highpark Brewery
If you know me, you know I love a brewery wedding.
Highpark brewery provides the perfect backdrop for an urban industrial wedding. The cool, intimate indoor space offers a blank canvas to design the reception of your dreams (If you’re up for the task!) while a large, airy outdoor patio provides a bonus space for your guests to get some fresh air or dance under the stars! Earth To Table: The Farm
I’ll start by saying that, In my opinion, this is one of the best barn venues in the GTA.
Earth to Table: The Farm combines rustic charm with modern amenities and provides the perfect backdrop for an elevated, yet rustic, barn wedding experience. This Pearle Wedding Venue has amazing food and wonderful service while still feeling laid back. You and your guests will feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere while still having easy access to main roads and surrounding cities. The lawn ceremony location provides breathtaking views of the rolling farm fields with cocktails and dinner just a few steps away in the modern barn.

Cranberry Creek Gardens
A vintage inspired wedding venue in small town Ontario
This vintage inspired wedding venue in small town Ontario is a gem that has quickly become a favourite of many GTA wedding pros and engaged couples. A unique wedding venue option off the beaten path is always sure to impress. Cranberry Creek Gardens, located in Lynedoch, Ontario, provides the perfect backdrop for a rustic, vintage inspired wedding. It’s historic white chapel, rustic barn and lush gardens are dreamy and make for amazing wedding photos. Surrounded by farm fields, you’ll feel like you’ve escaped to a tiny oasis with your (up to 125) guests!

Spencer’s on the Water
A modern restaurant wedding venue on lake ontario
If a modern, minimalistic wedding is your jam, this might be the perfect wedding venue for you. Spencer’s on the Waterfront offers breathtaking views of Lake Ontario through its floor to ceiling glass wall. Another Pearle wedding venue that provides amazing service and an incredible backdrop for a romantic, upscale evening to celebrate your love. The decor options are endless in this space but do not need to be extravagant (unless that’s your thing!). It is worth it to note that at this venue, your ceremony is held in the same room as your reception and is switched over during cocktail hour.

If you are looking for a luxurious, destination wedding venue not too far from home, Elora Mill might be the one for you.
